Maybe not too old but old-school. You should take a look at the Korean and Chinese teens. Their style is so much better to look at and their tricks are so much more "technical", one wheel transitions, spins while you guys are still stuck doing screws over your 4cones. LOL. Basically everything you guys do except on one wheel and faster. Plus the sync with the music. Awesome.

Hi "Euro Skater"
I understand what do you mean and i agree what asian skaters are faster and have different style, that's true... but it's not a question of old school. When we realise Spins one wheel, we do it
between the cones, in Europa we also have lot of creativity for combinations of tricks.
4 cones is the rules on competition to be sure to have technical level on thoses tricks.
Asian don't realise big compass and also big and larg tricks like big volts but only few small moves fast and with rythm... it's nice, it's different but i can't say that's better because it's
different.
The kind of tricks they do is easier to be done faster that's all.
So finally it's sad because everytime someone give comments like you, he never use his real name or nickname... i really don't understand why you hide you behind "Euro Skater", are you affraid ??
:)
Hi, Skali! I am very impessed by your site kompakombo.com! :) Great work! But I would like to know is that full collection of style slalom tricks or not? And if it isn't will you update and add new tricks?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi !
You also hide your name behind "Skali", don't you?)
Skali, it's true that Europe-style is addopted to the IFSA rules and that can explain the four-cone combinations and so on. But, haven't you noticed that some skaters like Igor, for instance, does no longer do big compasses, brushes or other staff like this. They try to make their programes and their style more technical and more personal. Don't you think so? And that's why they can now be called "the new-school skaters".
And may be that's the reason why that guy told you that you're an old-school skater. But that doesn't mean that you are not experienced or whatever. But youк style still remains about the slalom you did in your "Skali movie". It's not bad. It's your personal style.
By the way).. O. Herero тоже олдовый слаломист.

Hi Hiden Skater :)
As you know my nickname is skali and my name is guillaume Barbaz, you can have lots of informations about me... you?? i don't know i would have the pleasure to know how writte with me.
There is a part of true in your words, but also a part of "ignorance" too. I think you only have an external view of what is slalom.
You can't say that "igor style" is new school skating, for me actually as you said asian style can be assimilated to "new school" because they are young and they have different style than european
skaters. They slalom faster, they do principally moves on rythms with lots of easy moves combinated with some technical impressive moves. For me Asian style is actually the most interesting style,
yes i agree.
But in their style, i think, something is missing. You can see that in few years, the skaters will return to our european way to slalom for inspiration.
Don't think that in europa we can't slalom like asian skaters :) i will certainly do some moves inspirated by them in the futur, but keep my own style with all the tricks that i found in the
Past.
so have a Merry Christmas and happy new year russian skater ;)
Hello Skali)
It's been so long.. Needless to say that you are a nice guy to talk with) I've become an addict of writting to you..It's still your point of view and there's no sense in arguing. It would've been great to meet you and talk about all that(in person). Are you going to take part in Battle Moscow'09? (By the way, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you)
You are not a fellow battle visiter? Why? Does it take you so much energy and time to get ready with your programme?

Hi :)
It seems that you like write comments on my blog, so if you have time for that it's good :)
I wish you too a happy new year !! i hope for you long time on skates for slalom and same pleasure that i have on my skates.
I will not come in Battle Moscow (as you supposed or as you know) even if i realy like my friends of Rollerclub !!
It's not question about energy and time, i don't like this kind of event and i prefer to let it for other skaters wich have time to do it. Not bad, not good, just not for me.
My programme for the World Championship is in progress but not finished. It take time to prepare something original, find good music and combinate moves in original way.
what does it mean? i'm a too old Skater or i'm a respectable skater?? :)) the meaning is different and one is good i think and the other not...
